Good story! An updated, modern re-telling of Crime and Punishment. A highly entertaining and wonderfully well-written story. A tad bit slow in some places, telling about the procedures involved with the drying and curing of hops. Yet, despite that, an accurately researched and technical portrayal. Anthony MacDonald has become one of my new favorite authors. I've loved every one of his books that I have read so far. And I intend to read them all.Product details

Anthony McDonald's books have become a must buy for me. I think to date I've read everything he's written and I've never been disappointed.
His prose is magical and wonderful and the development of his characters will have you falling in love with each and every one of them.
Not to mention the detail he goes into describing the environment surrounding them.
It's become a regular habit of mine to read each book with a Bing map open on my PC to follow their journeys and to experience with a birds eye view the beauty written in his books.
